Iowa’s own melodic death metal force, Ophidian Memory, helmed by the visionary Blake Lamoureux, has joined forces with Wormholedeath to bring the dark brilliance of Carrion Lord to new audiences. The album is set to drop on 21 March 2025, marking an exciting chapter in the project’s evolution.

“Ophidian Memory is pleased to announce that it has signed with WormHoleDeath to bring Carrion Lord to the physical realm!” said Blake “As a solo project, it can be difficult to handle everything that comes with being a band and a business at the same time, and WormHoleDeath will help tremendously in my reach and output.”

The Vision Behind Ophidian Memory

Ophidian Memory, born from the creative mind of Blake Lamoureux, uses a foundation of melodic death metal while seamlessly blending subgenres like black metal, thrash, progressive metal, and metalcore. Each album unfolds tales set in a sprawling fictional universe, where beings of light and dark are locked in eternal conflict—plotting to destroy humanity, each other, and Existence itself.
